Role: songwriting, production, synthesizers, samplers.

Max formed Tanghetto in late 2001, along with Diego S. Velázquez. The project is his original idea; is since 1997 that he was interested in setting up an instrumental electrotango project. Max is the producer of the albums “Emigrante” and “Hybrid Tango”, and he created and wrote the concepts and texts that illustrate both albums. As a songwriter he composed, in collaboration with Diego, all of the songs that conform Tanghetto’s discography. With Diego he assembled an excellent songwriting and production team. In his late teens, Max took music lessons with legendary tango composer Virgilio Exposito. It was not only tango that he taught to Max, but how to compose real song in a wide variety of styles. One of the greatest frustrations for Max was that Virgilio died before he could show him any album of his own. He graduated in Music Engineering in the USA, and is the first engineer and who mixes all the albums that he produces. "Argentines have tango in our blood stream; sooner or later, the sounds of the bandoneon, the sensuality of the dance and the melancholy of those soundscapes impress our souls and our art. It is from the very rootlessness that we built up our own roots”.

Role: songwriting, arrangements, guitars.

Diego, who was born in Buenos Aires, is an argentine composer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist. He formed Tanghetto in late 2001 along with Max. He is co-writer of all of the songs that conform “Emigrante” and “Hybrid Tango”. He also writes the arrangements, plays a variety of instruments and works as second engineer. Diego, who has a Degree in Music, has shown a wide stylistic spectrum throughout his musical career. As a player, he is a remarkable guitarist: on the guitar he developed not only a skillful technique, but a really personal and unique style that's hard to classify. He works together with Max since 1997 in a very prolific team. “We feel that we have much to give, in artistic terms, not only to the argentine audience, but to the international one. I mean people eager of music that's different, eclectic, experimental. We’ll be even more pleased if we can contribute to the world’s sound with something we, as argentines, have real expertise in”.
